Join us rain or shine, any day of the year, for our famous Rare Breeds safari during daylight hours.

With your knowledgeable guide, depending on time of year visit our lambing sheds, calving station, and walk through the fields spotting as many as 16 different endangered breeds of domestic farm animals. See the world’s largest herd of Northern Dairy Shorthorns, the iconic White Parks, and marvel at the size and power of Gladiator and Calin III, our massive stock bulls. Watch huge black piglets forage through the Manx soil, and see four different primitive breeds of sheep, all close to extinction.

Bring your walking boots, or advise shoe size in advance and we’ll supply Wellington boots for you. The visit takes two hours, and you will leave knowing many interesting facts about farming and farm animals which you’ve seen demonstrated in the flesh.

The price of the safari, including motor transport to the more remote areas, is £50 per family (up to four people). Largest party size is 8 including children. Not recommended for children under 3; please contact us on 07624-497333 for special arrangements for very young families.

A complimentary safari for family of four is offered to purchasers of meat spending £100 or more on a single order.

Advance booking is essential: paul@manxrarebreeds.com or 07624-497333.
